After completing a Bachelor Degree at Harper Adams University in Agricultural Marketing and Business, Giles began his career in 1990 as a Grain Trader for Associated British Foods, followed by Production Manager for G’s Salads (largest European salads supplier to UK supermarkets).
In 1995 Giles moved to Warsaw Poland and set up a Land Agency, leasing and selling state agricultural land to foreign investors. Within 8 years over 40.000 ha changed hands and provided management services to individual clients. In 2006 Giles joined Celtic Asset Management (CAM) purchasing an agricultural land bank and converting to residential building land.
After merging with Laxey Partners hedgefund in 2007 the asset management company was merged with the asset holding companies to form Celtic Property Development (CPD) which was eventually listed on the Polish stock exchange in 2010.
Giles served on various management boards of the groups companies including the re development of the Ursus tractor factory to 14,000 apartments. After the formation of Celtic Property in 2013 by Andrew Shepherd and Rhys Jones, Giles was asked to join the company from CPD. Giles has sourced investment properties and liaised with agents, purchasing Celtic Park Piaseczno where 35,000sq.m of office and warehouse space has been refurbished and redeveloped on 7.8 ha.
He is Construction and Project Management Director and sits on various boards within the company group. Giles is also a partner in the self-storage company Przechowamy wszystko in Poland. Today the group has over 600 tenants and permits for a further 7900sq.m has recently been received at its site in Piaseczno.
Giles is married with 2 children, lives in Warsaw and interests include skiing, hill walking and off road biking.
